Stop Sending Ad Traffic to Your Homepage, You Monsters.

Let me paint you a picture of marketing negligence:
You just spent $1,000 on ads.
Someone sees your ad about “Emergency Plumbing Services.”
They click…
And BAM – they land on your homepage with:
• 47 navigation buttons
• Your company mission statement
• A slider showing every service you’ve offered since 1987
• Stock photos of “your team” (that I found on Shutterstock)
• And a tiny “contact us” button hiding in the corner
What. Are. You. DOING?
This is like promising someone a steak dinner…
Then dropping them off at a grocery store.
“Here’s 47 aisles. The meat’s in there somewhere. Good luck!”
Your homepage is NOT a landing page.
I repeat:
YOUR HOMEPAGE IS NOT A LANDING PAGE.
When someone clicks your ad, they’re raising their hand saying:
“Yes, I’m interested in THIS SPECIFIC THING you promised.”
But instead of giving them THAT THING…
You’re giving them your company’s autobiography.
Let me be crystal clear:
If your ad says “Emergency Plumbing Service”…
They should land on a page about EMERGENCY PLUMBING SERVICE.
Not your:
• Company history
• Team photos
• Service area map
• Blog posts from 2019
• “About Us” novel
You’re basically saying:
“Thanks for clicking my $3 ad! Now let me confuse you until you leave!”
Here’s what SHOULD happen:
They click your ad about emergency plumbing
They land on a page that ONLY talks about emergency plumbing
They see ONE clear action to take
(Call now, book online, etc.)
That’s it.
No distractions.
No confusion.
No “but what if they want to see our blog?”
(Trust me… they don’t.)
Because here’s the truth:
A confused mind doesn’t buy.
And your homepage?
It’s a confusion FACTORY.
Want proof?
Look at your analytics.
See that 89% bounce rate from ad traffic?
That’s people saying:
“This isn’t what I was promised. I’m out.”
So please…
For the love of your marketing budget…
Stop sending ad traffic to your homepage.
Use landing pages.
Keep your promise.
Make it crystal clear what they should do next.
Or just keep throwing money away.
Your choice.
